Catherine Stewart retires

Friends and colleagues paid a fond farewell to receptionist Catherine Stewart who retired in March after 25 years service.
Catherine (Cath), who worked in the out-patient department (reception B) at Wishaw General Hospital, began her career with NHS Lanarkshire in 1991 as a receptionist at Strathclyde Hospital, Motherwell. In 1996, Cath moved to Law House where remained until 2001 when the site closed and transferred to Wishaw General Hospital. Cath thereafter joined the out-patient department (reception B) where she remained until her retirement.
Cath lives in Overtown with her husband Ian.
To mark her retirement, Cath will venture on a cruise to Greece and Italy with a few colleagues – past and present – at the end of April. Cath has also planned a trip to Niagara Falls and New York in September.
Out-patient department supervisor Linda Finlayson said: “Colleagues and friends from out-patients would like to wish Cath a healthy and well-travelled retiral in the many years ahead”.
