A week of positive news

It was a week of virtually wall-to-wall positive media coverage for NHS Lanarkshire. The Lanarkshire Breastfeeding Initiative lead the way with several papers reporting on their annual general meeting which showcased their work to promote, protect and celebrate support for breastfeeding.
Ian Cowan – a member of the committee of Community Pharmacy Lanarkshire – picked up plaudits in the local press after receiving a top industry accolade for Outstanding Contribution to Pharmacy at the annual Scottish Pharmacist Awards.
Even our buildings got in on the good news act, with East Kilbride’s Hunter Health Centre being shortlisted in the health category for the prestigious Scottish Design Awards.
There was a positive mention too for NHS Lanarkshire’s cancer waiting times as the Board exceeded the 95% target for the entire year.
