Risk register policy update
We want to provide services and work in an environment that is as safe as possible.
Speaking about the updated risk register policy Calum Campbell, NHS Lanarkshire chief executive, said: “Effective risk management today helps prevent a crisis tomorrow. So it is important we have a way of dealing with risks.
“The risk register policy is an important step for us as we try to make sure that patient safety is the number of priority of NHS Lanarkshire.”
The updated risk register policy helps staff record and report risks. It also allows staff to identify, manage and mitigate risks.
Calum added: “As the chief executive, I am accountable for the safe and effective running of the organisation.
“I am very keen to know what risks we are facing, how we are assessing them and most importantly how we are managing them.”
