Maternity unit redesign complete

Work to redesign the maternity unit is now complete.
Senior midwife Wendy Drysdale said: “We have always delivered a high standard of care. However, to enable us to respond to changes in birth rates, demographics and advances in clinical care we must continue to adapt and evolve our service.
“The design enhances the working relationships between obstetricians, midwives, anaesthetists and neonatal staff. There was extensive collaborative working with staff in every ward and the larger multidisciplinary team to decide what our new service would look like.”
