Welcome to Pulse Online by Calum Campbell, Chief Executive, NHS Lanarkshire

Welcome to the new Pulse Online, a dedicated news site for staff across NHS Lanarkshire.
I joined NHS Lanarkshire in January and have quickly learned just how much good work is going on throughout our hospitals, health centres, GP practices, dental services and support groups – the list is endless.
I am keen that we share this good news with our patients, with the media and with each other so I am pleased to see this news site has been launched to offer a dedicated space to celebrate what we do.
Reading the newspapers often gives an unbalanced picture of what we do and I know how demoralising it can be to read negative headlines every week when we are working so hard to deliver excellent patient care.
That’s why this news site is all about you – it is about your stories, your views and your news and the communications team will keep the site updated daily to make sure everyone’s stories are featured.
Not everyone wants to read their news online so The Pulse newspaper will still be available as well offering more in depth features on our achievements.
But both The Pulse and Pulse Online need your contributions so please get in touch with the communications team and get involved. Whether it’s writing a blog post, showcasing your achievements – (personal and professional) or simply entering a competition there’s something for everyone.
You have a lot to be proud of – so let’s start talking about it.
