High-profile visitors

The Infection Prevention and Control Team (IPCT) welcomed Abigail Mullings and Alistair Leonard from the HAI Policy Unit at the Scottish Government.
The visit was to provide an update on the progress of the IPCT work plan following changes to the service and showcase achievements such as improved surveillance processes together with the introduction of the Pink Star alert.
Emer Shepherd, head of IPC said: “The progress within the team over the past year has been significant since we restructured the service. The team were delighted to get the opportunity to meet Alistair and Abigail to talk through key pieces of work together with discussions of future HAI initiatives.
“It was an extremely helpful visit.”
