PPE requirements for healthcare procedures
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) is equipment intended to be worn or held by persons at work that protects them against one or more risks to their health or safety.

- Healthcare workers have a professional and mandatory responsibility to ensure PPE/RPE is worn and used in accordance with provided training, information and instruction
- Line managers are responsible for ensuring staff make full and proper use of PPE/RPE and are adequately trained in its use, including when and how to wear and how to remove/discard
