NHS 70th Anniversary - Judge Nominations for Great British Menu

2018 will mark the 70th anniversary of the NHS.  As part of the planned activity of celebrations, nominations are being invited for judges in the Scottish heats of the BBC2 series, The Great British Menu.

The type of person the programme-makers are looking for are:

  • staff who have made the news for something special they have done
  • staff who have notable length of service
  • staff whose job or contribution is extraordinary and shines a light on those who go that extra mile
  • NHS experts or pioneers – noted or recognised for their contribution to healthcare and the NHS
  • remote or rural staff at the heart of their communities
  • staff with a connection to the birth of the NHS in Scotland
  • staff who have received some accolade – including an honour (OBE/MBE) – for their contribution.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend a judging session in London which will involve an overnight stay and a full day of filming.  Dates are still to be confirmed, however, will be between mid-September and mid-October. Please note that all expenses will be covered by the production company.
