Retirement of Margaret Morris

Colleagues paid a fond farewell to staff nurse Margaret Morris who retired in May after 39 years service.

Margaret, who was part of the health visiting team at Blantyre Health Centre, spent her entire career with NHS Lanarkshire, firstly as a registered general nurse (RGN), then as a midwife and latterly as a staff nurse.

In 1997 Margaret joined the health visiting team at Viewpark Health Centre before moving to Kirklands Headquarters. In 2016 Margaret transferred to Blantyre Health Centre where she remained until her retirement.

Margaret is married to Ricky and lives in Uddingston. She has two granddaughters Ciara (5) and Lucy (2). In her spare time, Margaret enjoys spending time with friends, eating out and family trips.

Margaret is looking forward to her retirement to spend more time with her family. She is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a third granddaughter.
