Retirement of Agnes Healy

Friends and colleagues gathered to say farewell to Agnes Healy who retired from NHS Lanarkshire in March after approximately 40 years service.
Agnes, a charge nurse with the emergency care team at Hairmyres Hospital, joined the NHS in 1974 when she took up a post with Lothian Health Board.
In 1978 Agnes joined NHS Lanarkshire’s emergency department, a role in which she remained until her retirement.
In her spare time Agnes enjoys travelling extensively throughout the world with family and friends.
Team leader Jan Miller said: “Agnes has been a valued and dedicated member of the emergency care team for many years. She is highly respected by all her medical, nursing and managerial colleagues and will be sadly missed by all members of the emergency care team within Hairmyres Hospital. We would all like to take this opportunity to thank Agnes for all her hard work and determination to deliver health care to the patients attending the department throughout her career”.
