Elizabeth (Margo) Brown Retires

Colleagues bid a farewell to Elizabeth (Margo) Brown, senior physiotherapy healthcare support worker, who retired in January.

Margo, who was based within the physiotherapy department at Wishaw General Hospital, started her career in February 1992 at St John’s Hospital in Livingston.

In 1996 Margo joined NHS Lanarkshire where she was appointed to Stonehouse Hospital.

In 1999 Margo moved to Law Hospital, Carluke before transferring to Wishaw General Hospital when it officially opened in 2001, a role in which she remained until her retirement.

Margo lives in Auchenheath, Lanark and has two daughters and three grandchildren. Margo is very family orientated and spends the majority of her time with her grandchildren.

Sheila McEwan, physiotherapy lead for older people and stroke care, said: “Margo will be missed by all her colleagues and friends in the department. We wish her well for new beginnings”.
