Retirement of Lesley Allison

Community paediatric special needs dietitian Lesley Allison retired from NHS Lanarkshire in March after 19 years service.
Lesley, who was based at Beckford Street, Hamilton, began her career in 1977 before taking a career break of 13 years to raise her three daughters.
In 1995 Lesley returned to NHS Lanarkshire and to a post which had been further developed to that of clinical lead for special needs paediatrics in the community.
Lesley is married to Blair and they and their family live in and around the Eaglesham/East Kilbride area.
In her spare time Lesley enjoys going to the gym and has been an ardent fundraiser for Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). In September Lesley will take part in the Kilt Walk in China to raise more money for the charity.
Team leader Dorothy Carruthers said: “Lesley is a valued colleague and friend to all in the department. She will not only be missed by us all but also the many children and families she has supported in her role as a special needs paediatric dietitian”.
