Lots of good work in the pipeline
A “pipeline” of service changes has been produced to show progress with NHS Lanarkshire’s healthcare strategy Achieving Excellence one year on.
The “pipeline” of projects from initial ideas through to completed work was presented to the Board on 28 March.
The full paper is available on the website: www.nhslanarkshire.org.uk/boards/2018-board-papers/Documents/March/10-Achieving-Excellence–March- 2018-Board.pdf
The final version of Achieving Excellence was approved by the Lanarkshire NHS Board on 1 March 2017, and endorsed by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport on 28 April 2017.
Since then, there has been considerable progress, particularly in the work to reduce the admissions and lengths of stay in hospital.
In the short and medium term future, NHS Lanarkshire and its partners have set out an exciting and innovative agenda for service change.
A series of roadshows will be held in 2018/19 to inform and engage staff in the ongoing implementation of Achieving Excellence.
They will take place at community sites, the acute hospital sites and Kirklands Medical Education Training Centre.
They will include a presentation setting out: progress on workstreams; key milestones; successes to date; the West of Scotland Regional Health and Social Care Delivery
Plan and opportunities for further staff input and involvement.
Roadshow details will appear in the weekly staff briefing.
