With a Little Help from my Friends
We’re proud to support an exciting new project to celebrate the NHS’s 70th birthday on 5 July, and we’re encouraging all members and staff to get behind it too.
NHS Voices is bringing together NHS staff and leading music artists to record a special cover of the iconic Beatles’ track With a Little Help from my Friends.
Featuring the likes of Seal, Beverley Knight and Guy Garvey, the track will be released on 6 July and all proceeds from the song will go to NHS charities across the UK.
The project is being spearheaded by a team of NHS staff who campaigned successfully to get the NHS to the Christmas No.1 in 2015, beating Justin Bieber to the top spot. They are hoping for another huge number one, and with the support of all staff and patients it really is possible.
There will also be a special documentary about the making of the track, which is being aired on ITV on 4th July. This will feature a massive national singalong, and you are all welcome to get involved.
There are lots of other ways you can support it too, like following @NHSVoices on Twitter and joining the virtual Facebook event. You could also take a selfie and post it via social media with the hashtags #NHSVoices and #NHSScot70.
Please help to support NHS charities across the UK by downloading or streaming the single when it’s released on 6 July and help us spread the word to reach number 1 in the charts.
