Retirement of Moira Blake
Moira Blake, hotel services catering assistant at Kirklands Headquarters, Bothwell retired in August after 18 years’ service.
Moira worked for the hotel services catering department at Kirklands Headquarters since joining NHS Lanarkshire. She had varied roles, including working in the main kitchen, dining room, Kylepark assessment kitchen and latterly Kirklands coffee shop where she remained until her retirement.
In her spare time, Moira enjoys socialising with friends and family. She has two daughters, one of whom still stays at home. Following her retirement, Moira is looking forward to a well-deserved holiday to recharge her batteries. She is also planning a small get-together later in the year for her NHS family to come and say a final farewell.
Peter McKinlay, catering team leader, said: “Moira will be very sadly missed by all of the catering team, staff and customers. I will personally miss her keeping me grounded.”
