David McCarroll retires

After 25 years David McCarroll, assistant transport manager, retired from NHS Lanarkshire in August.

David, who was based within property and support services department (PSSD) at Law House, joined the NHS in 1990 as a porter/driver at Hartwood Hospital.  In March 1991, David became a charge hand porter before moving to Strathclyde Hospital in Motherwell as head porter in 2000.

In 2002, David was promoted to assistant transport manager, a role in which he remained until his retirement.

David is married to Kathy and lives in Allanton.  They have one son, David, and a daughter, Donna as well as four grandchildren Regan, taylor, Chelsea and Harrison.
