Evelyn is partial to retirement

Colleagues gathered to congratulate Evelyn Scott, who took partial retirement from NHS Lanarkshire.

Evelyn, who was attached to the department of public health at Kirklands Headquarters, Bothwell, worked as a personal assistant with the operational management team before becoming a secretary within the department of public health where she remained for six years.

Before joining NHS Lanarkshire Evelyn worked for many years, taking up employment with the local authorities, North Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships, the private sector and the TUC.

Evelyn is taking partial retirement and will continue to work one day per week supporting NHS Lanarkshire’s dental audit committee.

Evelyn lives in Hamilton with her husband Bobby. Her free time will allow her to care for her first grandchild – Calvin – and pursue the leisure activities she most enjoys, particularly swimming.

Mary Louden, operational support supervisor, said: “Evelyn is very valued member of our public health support staff team. She has proved invaluable in supporting the streamlined administration of our service and we are delighted that Evelyn will continue to work with the department for some time to come.”
