Further design workshops for new Monklands

The Monklands Replacement/Refurbishment Project team are holding design workshops for key departments/areas for the new University Hospital Monklands.
Workshops taking place during the week beginning 24 June are: hard and soft facilities management; haematology; infectious diseases; main entrance; post grad and on-call; research and education centre; staff facilities.
They’ll help produce a “reference design” for what the new hospital will look like, to cost it ahead of submission of the outline business case and let potential contractors understand the requirements and complete the detailed design.
A number of staff have been invited to each workshop. If you’ve been asked but can’t make it, please nominate a colleague to attend in your place and let the Monklands project team know: email – Laura.Gilchrist@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk, tel – 01236 713348.
No decision has yet been taken on the location of the new hospital so designs will not be site specific.
