Launch of Scottish psychological trauma training plan

The Scottish psychological trauma training plan is the companion document to the NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and Scottish Government partnership document ‘Transforming Psychological Trauma: A Knowledge and Skills Framework for the Scottish Workforce (2017)’.

The trauma training plan is designed to support the implementation of the framework. Both have been developed by a broad range of stakeholders to increase understanding of trauma and its impact across the Scottish workforce.

The development of a trauma-informed workforce is a crucial step towards helping ensure that children and adults affected by trauma are recognised, understood and responded to in a way that ensures timely access to effective care, support and interventions for those who need it.
