Local media help promote good work of staff

The good work of NHS Lanarkshire staff has featured a great deal in this week’s local newspapers with many papers including articles promoting the NHS Lanarkshire staff awards.
The focus has helped generate a great deal of interest in the awards resulting in over 250 nominations so far.
The papers have also helped to encourage the local population to submit their views on the future of Health and Social Care in Lanarkshire.
They have also covered concerns over the H1N1 influenza virus being prevalent in the community. This has helped NHS Lanarkshire to remind those eligible for the flu vaccine, and who have not already done so, to get their jab.
The East Kilbride News also devoted some space GP Chris Mackintosh after he bade farewell to his patients as he gave up his GP work to take up his new role as medical director of South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
