National Play Day and smoke-free events – 7 August

North Lanarkshire Council, in partnership with NHS Lanarkshire health improvement teams and other agencies, will host a ‘National Play Day’ at Summerlee Museum, Coatbridge on Wednesday 7 August from 11am to 4pm.
Activities will include stories, bookbug, junk modelling, outdoor games and sports and arts and crafts. The theme of the event will be ‘Play Builds Children’.
The event will be a smoke-free event in support of a smoke-free Lanarkshire by providing healthier and safer environments for children and families to learn and play. For the duration of the event, it is encouraged that all outdoor areas and spaces within Summerlee Museum be smoke-free meaning no smoking is allowed. There will be smoke-free signage on display throughout the grounds of the museum.
