The new five-year mental health and well-being strategy for Lanarkshire will be formally launched on Thursday 24 October at Coatbridge College.

Getting It Right for Every Person’ (GIRFEP) A Mental Health and Well-being Strategy for Lanarkshire (2019-2024)’, is a shared vision developed by Health and Social Care North Lanarkshire (H&SCNL), NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL), South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership (SLH&SCP), members of the public, third sector organisations and staff groups.

The comprehensive strategy aims to lift the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health and deliver a plan to transform mental health and well-being in Lanarkshire. Engagement work has been taking place since autumn 2018, with all contributions and views helping to influence the strategy’s development and crucially the content. The strategy is currently going through an endorsement and approval process ahead of October’s launch.

The strategy can be found here.
