New services being offered to staff with dyslexia

Knowledge Services is in the process of making all NHS Lanarkshire libraries dyslexia friendly. The following is already offered:
computers adapted to meet the needs of users with dyslexia
material to support reading such as coloured rulers and overlays, highlighter pens, etc
adapted library signs
library flyers in different formats (both print and electronic)
A new pilot will soon be launched too at Hairmyres Hospital library, offering staff with dyslexia a dedicated computer with a specialised software package. This package will allow users to easily write and read by just using the computer mouse and a headset.
