New training standards launched

NHS Lanarkshire have launched their new training standards, which will ensure that all trainers are fully supported.

The Training Standards were designed by the network to support NHS Lanarkshire Trainers’ with Good Practice guidance and support, as well as contributing to the delivery of quality, efficient and effective learning provision.

Head of organisational development, Susan Dunne said,  “Recognising the important contribution of trainers in NHS Lanarkshire, these standards have been developed to support the personal development of staff involved in delivery of training, whilst providing clear guidance around the processes that must be followed when developing and delivering training.”

Sixty one trainers from across NHS Lanarkshire attended the launch including colleagues and partner organisations.

The event was opened by Calum Campbell, Chief Executive, NHS Lanarkshire followed by updates from learning departments on key areas of work impacting on trainers within NHS Lanarkshire

Market stalls were set up by the participants to showcase NHS Lanarkshire training opportunities, the methods of delivery, share information on content, target audiences and an opportunity to have a go .

All training network meetings include a CPD session. This was delivered by Alice Beveridge from the Tree of Knowledge. With a focus on how to motivate, engage and inspire.

The network meets quarterly to provide updates on training related issues / topics taking place across NHS Lanarkshire as well as an opportunity to share thoughts, ideas and suggestions through networking.
