Occupational therapy community clinics
Have you heard about the community clinics that are being offered throughout NHS Lanarkshire?
Mental health occupational therapists in each locality have been running the initiative across Lanarkshire, giving people the opportunity to discuss their occupational needs with an occupational therapist who will support them to establish a healthier life balance and connect people with local services and activities that may help improve their mental health and well being.
The clinics facilitate early intervention, support self management and recovery, increase social prescribing referrals within the localities and improve access to occupational therapy services.
Posters and leaflets are displayed in prominent areas across Lanarkshire and members of the public who are not involved in secondary mental health services are encouraged to refer themselves.
