Scotland’s Eagles tribute act comes to Wishaw to support The Haven

Hotel Caledonia, Scotland’s Eagles tribute act, is coming to Wishaw to support The Haven charity.

The Haven, situated in the grounds of University Hospital Wishaw, supports individuals, families and carers affected by life-limiting illness.

No one knows this better than client Alex, who is co-hosting the event with The Haven.

He said: “I have no words except thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support given to me by all at The Haven during my recovery. I try my best to give back in any way I can, and I hope that this evening with Hotel Caledonia is a huge success, raising vital funds for such a worthy Lanarkshire charity.”

Tickets are on sale now and cost £10. The event will be held in Cambusnethan Miners Club, on Friday 25th May, 7pm. Tickets can be purchased by calling The Haven Wishaw on 01698 366948.

David Henson, Haven fundraising officer, said: “We are delighted that Alex is so keen to support us, this kind of client and community involvement helps us sustain the programme of services we offer at The Haven Wishaw.

“Hotel Caledonia are a great band, and we would be delighted for anyone to join us on the evening and make this a sell-out event for us. You in turn would be supporting people in your local community who seek emotional support at what can be such difficult times.”

The diagnosis of a life-limiting illness such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease is a life-changing event, not only for the individual but for the whole family and those closest to that person.

The Haven offers a programme of support designed to help individuals cope with the physical, emotional and practical aspects of their illness and to enable them to face the future with hope. To access The Haven’s free, self referral services please call 01698 366948.
