Scottish Cardiac Society Spring meeting – 18 April

The Scottish Cardiac Society (SCS) will hold its Spring meeting on Wednesday 18 April at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro.

The event is open to physicians, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals working in cardiology and cardiac surgery.

The event is free for members and those applying for membership.

Topics will include:

  • Guidelines update
  • Virtual TAVI MDT (transcatheter aortic valve implantation multidisciplinary team) – panel discussion
  • Cardiovascular fitness to drive
  • Cardioembolic Stroke: A neurologist’s perspective
  • Atrial fibrillation
  • DOACs (direct oral anti-coagulants)

Speakers and chairs will include Dr Mike Griffith, Dr Terence Quinn, Dr Colin Petrie, Dr Iain Todd, Mr Kelvin Lim, Dr David Northridge, Dr Miles Behan and Dr Nick Cruden.
