Service directory pilot continues

Scotland’s Service Directory provides easy access to information on a range of health and well-being services.

NHS Lanarkshire is one of the pilot board areas and the first to undergo a ‘live’ review of its service information. A small working group, led by the health improvement team, has developed local governance procedures to review service information bi-annually.  This will ensure that the information is accurate and up-to-date.

A recent development is the installation of touchscreen kiosks in three community health centres; Hunter (East Kilbride), Airdrie and Carluke. The kiosks provide a simple health information point for members of the public to find the most appropriate service to meet their needs and improve patient experience.  In addition to Scotland’s Service Directory, North and South Locator tools, Greenspace Portal and Well Connected can also be accessed for more local community groups and activities.

Public information materials including posters and wallet cards will be on display in various community settings including health centres, libraries and pharmacies in the near future.
