This week’s press saw NHS Lanarkshire’s staff awards being highlighted. The awards team now have the difficult task of examining over 300 nominations to identify which ones should progress to the next stage. The story featured in the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser, Wishaw Press and East Kilbride News.

The local press also highlighted that Gillian Shaw has been appointed to spearhead the Childsmile scheme across the area. The scheme aims to improve children’s dental health.

They also highlighted that a new timeline has been published as the integration of health and social care gets underway across both North and South Lanarkshire.

Patient meals at hospitals across Scotland were featured in the Daily Mail. In response to the article John Paterson, property and support services manager said that “all of our menus comply with national nutritional standards and we carry out regular surveys to monitor satisfaction.”
