Staff Awards highlighted in this weeks press

This week we were delighted to hear that Pauline Cafferkey has been discharged from the Royal Free Hospital and has been transferred to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to continue her recovery.
NHS Lanarkshire staff awards programme being highlighted in the press. The nomination period for the awards will open next month. Papers who covered the story included the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser, Evening Times, Hamilton Advertiser and the Rutherglen Reformer.
The West of Scotland Laundry also received an award of their own for the fifth consecutive year. The team won aa gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The Wishaw Press also covered a story that announced that Wishaw General is the first hospital in Scotland to join a ground-breaking initiative to help patients with dementia.
The East Kilbride News and Wishaw Press also continued to count down to the opening of the Lanarkshire Beatson. They also told the story of how members of Monklands deaf community attended an event to give their views on the support that NHS Lanarkshire provides to those who cannot hear.
