Staff get in gear with Cyclescheme

Events to promote Cyclescheme took place at each of NHS Lanarkshire’s three acute hospitals over the summer. Cyclescheme allows staff to buy a bicycle and accessories and save on tax.
A representative from a Cyclescheme retailer brought bicycles to each event and answered staff queries. Maps and other information were also available. The event at University Hospital Hairmyres also included early proposals for the East Kilbride Active Travel Network.
The lunchtime events were held in each hospital’s restaurant, which attracted great interest from staff.
For more information about Cyclescheme, or cycling to work, see NHS Lanarkshire’s Bike User Group site on FirstPort: http://firstport2/staff-support/bike-user-group/default.aspx
