Walk Japan is underway!

The second instalment of NHS Lanarkshire’s corporate walking challenges for staff, Walk Japan is underway. The challenge began on Thursday 14th September and will last for 4 weeks in total ending on Thursday 12th of October.
Over 1,150 staff have registered to take part across 282 teams, which is almost an incredible 60% increase in participation levels from the first corporate walking challenge, Walk California.
Already in only 4 full days of walking, collectively more than 21,000 kilometers have been accumulated. Of course for some there is a competitive element to the challenge in wanting to be finished first or walk the furthest but for many it’s about the first steps to making changes; being a little more active or simply an opportunity to bond more with colleagues.
The Healthy Working Lives team hope to capture as many of these successes as possible and intend to share weekly updates with participants, highlighting ‘Walkers’ and ‘Teams’ of the week where improvement and achievement are celebrated together.
