The awards recognise the extraordinary work of the people on the frontline of healthcare provided by the NHS. They reflect the amazing diversity of talent and showcase the dedication and commitment of NHS staff.

There are 17 award categories: support worker, innovation, volunteer, optometrist, midwife, therapist, young achiever, unsung hero, care for mental health, integrated care, healthier lifestyle, leader of the year, dentist, nurse, doctor, top team and global citizenship.

Nominations received after this time will not be accepted.

Awards finalists will be announced in the week beginning 14 October. Award winners will be announced at the Scottish Health Awards Ceremony at the Corn Exchange, Edinburgh on Thursday 14 November.
