Monklands departmental design workshops

The Monklands Replacement/Refurbishment Project team has been holding design workshops for 10 of the key departments for the new University Hospital Monklands.
The workshops taking place week beginning 27 May are: assessment unit; cancer unit; critical care unit; emergency department; laboratories; radiotherapy.
They will help produce a ‘reference design’ for what the new hospital will look like, to cost it ahead of submission of the outline business case and let potential contractors understand the requirements and complete the detailed design.
A number of staff have been invited to each workshop. If you have been invited but cannot make it, please nominate a colleague to attend in your place and let the Monklands project team know – email Laura.Gilchrist@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk or telephone 01236 713348.
No decision has yet been taken on the location of the new hospital so designs will not be site specific.
