Still time to nominate for Staff Awards

Still time to nominate for Staff Awards

There’s still time to nominate in our Staff Awards, which close on 31 December.

The awards, now in their second year, see healthcare staff from across Lanarkshire recognised for the inspirational work they do.

Patients, visitors and colleagues can nominate staff and volunteers from across the health board to pay tribute to the care they provide.

The winners will be announced at a showpiece ceremony in May.

NHS Lanarkshire chief executive Calum Campbell said: “There are so many unsung heroes among our hard-working and dedicated staff and volunteers, and the awards give everyone in Lanarkshire a chance to recognise that through their nominations.

“Our inaugural awards ceremony, held in May this year, was a great success. I’m sure we will see the same level of enthusiasm from the public and our colleagues as we again highlight the exceptional standard of care staff provide on a daily basis.

“NHS staff are often present at some of the most challenging events in a person’s life and the support they give at these difficult moments can make a lasting impression on a patient, their family and carers.

“The award categories pay special attention to those who go the extra mile to deliver outstanding services and those who provide exceptional person-centred care. The awards also recognise teams and individuals who are innovative and those who continuously improve services.

“They also highlight the importance of our volunteers, who excel in their commitment to support the health and care needs of the people of Lanarkshire.”

The award categories are:

Outstanding individual

Outstanding team

Outstanding care

Outstanding volunteer

Innovation in practice
