Links training project
The Links training project is a collaborative approach between Clydesdale community mental health for older people and Police Scotland Lanark Division.
The four-week programme aims to provide training and develop skills for police officers in contact with older people living in the community with mental health problems, with a particular focus on stress and distress in dementia. In addition, the Links project has created a network for communication between services improving patient care and individualised treatment for community management.
Any member of staff within the Clydesdale locality who would benefit from this training should contact Nicola Ozatalay, community psychiatric nurse, on 01555 777424 or email nicola.ozatalay@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk
